Dear Friends and Brothers, I hope this message finds you in good health and spirits!
There is an important issue I need to share with you. Honorable Brother William (Bill) Sizemore 32° Knight Commander of the Court of Honour is no longer our General Secretary. His contributions over the past several years have helped us along in our journey. However, where we need to go will require the addition of strong computer and technical skills. Please join me in extending a heartfelt thank you to Brother Bill for his service to the Valley.
As for the present, until Most Worshipful and Illustrious William F Stovall 33°, Sovereign Grand Inspector General for the Orient of California appoints a new General Secretary, Brother Daniel R. Willerton 32° is working in the office to help with the transition. Please feel free to call the office if you need anything. Honorable Brother Bob McNamara 32° Knight Commander of the Court of Honour is working closely with Brother Willerton at this time.
At the Advisory Council Meeting on July 14th, Illustrious Brother Rick Wood 33° Inspector General, Honorary cleared up some scuttlebutt or rumors that have been circulating in the Valley. The first dealt with Brother Sizemore. The second deals with our meeting place. For those of you who were not able to attend the meeting, I have explained the issue with Brother Sizemore. With respect to the Valley meeting place, we are looking at alternatives to our current meeting location. One option that seems plausible is to meet at the DeMolay Center at 303 W Lincoln in Anaheim. Discussions are underway at the time of writing although no decision has been made. You may ask why we are looking for alternatives. Well, it is purely financial. Our Brothers at the Shrine have provided a nice meeting place for us but the cost is becoming onerous. If the change takes place, it will reduce our meeting cost by over 66% per month. We can not overlook such an option.
I hope this has helped clear up any confusion in the temple that may have existed.
Get involved, my Brothers, you can make a difference.
Fraternally,
Ray
