The Orange County Scottish Rite Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Orange County, California, and one of our primary purposes is supporting the educational endeavors of our area youth. Scholarship Information, Criteria and Performance Requirements Eligibility
California residents aged 17 to 25 seeking a degree or certificate from an accredited college, university or trade school. Awardees are to carry twelve (12) units per semester and maintain a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Units earning a Pass/No Pass grade do not count toward the twelve unit minimum.
Award
The annual award is $2,500.00 paid in two equal installments as indicated below.
Awards are paid directly to the awardee. An awardee may re-apply annually by the published deadline for that year. The maximum number of annual awards is four (4).
Payment of award
Awards will be paid to the awardee upon receipt of the following items from the awardee: (a) a certified copy of their transcript for the previous semester and (2) a brief letter describing their experience of the preceding semester, including a description of any employment, extra-curricular activities, and community involvement. These items are to be received by the last day of August in order to receive payment of the Fall installment.
Selection
The Scholarship Committee will review all completed applications and select recipient(s) of the scholarships. All applicants will be notified of the outcome.
