Hello everyone,
A short message from your Junior Warden about our February stated meeting. For all who attended you were treated to a new food vendor, Surf City Catering, and what a meal Gaby Browning, the owner, put on for us. We had Tri Tip, Smoked Steak and Prime Rib, Garlic Mashed Potatoes with Brown Gravy, Assorted Steamed Vegetables, and Tossed Green Salad with Dressing, Roll and Butter and Choice of Apple, Cherry, or Blueberry Pie with Vanilla Ice Cream. I hoped everyone enjoyed their dinner. I will be publishing the entire menu for this coming year, so you may want to put it somewhere so you can look at it for the coming meetings.
Remember, our stated meetings are usually 30-45 minutes long, so with a new dinner menu and short meetings, and making new friends, there are several good reasons to attend our meeting.
Remember, it is everyone’s responsibility for membership. We have two members who are very active in bring in new members, thanks Mike Selix and James Segerstrom. We have a very small Valley and are losing members by death which doesn’t equate to our new membership. We are always playing catch up, not to mention how this affects the budget for the year. So I have a suggestion for you to try; I attended my blue lodge meetings and asked permission from the Master to speak about Scottish Rite. I never talked about joining this group, all I talked about was the upcoming events and all the fun we are having.
Yours in the Faith,
John R. Rider, KCCH
Junior Warden
